1986-1988 ZIMMER quicksilver intake manifold logo plate
AVAILABLE NOW - WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
ONLY 30 HAVE BEEN PRODUCED
The coachbuilt, neoclassic Zimmer QuickSilver automobiles built between 1986 and 1988 use these metal plates to add their logo on the intake manifold of the engine on the earlier cars and one the later cars, they also cover the "Fiero" logo on that was machined into the intake manifold.
A glance at the cars in the Zimmer QuickSilver Registry shows that more than a few are missing this plate and others show corrosion or other cosmetic damage that detracts from their appearance as seen below. Original plates appear to have been made of aluminum with a screen printed logo and the "Powered by General Motors" text.
For the reproductions, which used an original Zimmer part as a guide, the decision was made to use stainless steel, rather than aluminum, then rotary engraved and enamel filled in the same style and original color as the factory parts.
